Ouiteo's data-driven sort types fall into two groups depending on where the data comes from. This is the most common reason a sort "doesn't seem to work" — the data it needs isn't connected yet.
Sorts that use your Shopify order data
These work as soon as you have order history — no extra connection needed:
Best Selling (units sold)
Revenue and Net Revenue
Worst Selling
Order data refreshes regularly throughout the day, so best-seller and revenue rankings stay current automatically.
Sorts that need Google Analytics
Anything based on shopper behaviour on your site requires a Google Analytics (GA4) connection, because Shopify doesn't provide this data:
Most Viewed (product page views)
Add to Carts and Checkouts
Conversion ratios — view-to-cart, cart-to-checkout, view-to-purchase, and similar
If you choose one of these without GA connected, there's no data to rank by. Connect your account first — see Connections - Google Analytics.
What to expect after connecting GA
On the first connection, Ouiteo imports roughly the last 90 days of analytics data, then keeps it up to date automatically.
It can take a short while after connecting for the data to be ready — if a Most Viewed sort looks empty right away, give it some time and sort again.
If you disconnect Google Analytics, any collections using GA-based sorts are switched back to a standard sort (such as Best Selling) so they keep working.
