How often does sorting run? Auto-sort scheduling and frequency

Set how often collections re-sort, run multiple times a day, and what the dashboard count means.

Written by David Farrington

Ouiteo can keep your collections sorted automatically on a schedule you choose, per collection.

Turn on automatic sorting

Enable auto-sort on a collection and pick how often it should re-sort. Available frequencies include every hour, every 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours, daily, weekly, every two weeks, monthly, on specific days of the week, or a specific day of the month.

Can I sort multiple times a day?

Yes. Choose one of the hourly options (every 1, 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours) and the collection will re-sort several times a day. The higher-frequency options (hourly up to every 12 hours) are available on higher plans, so the number of collections you can run at high frequency depends on your plan.

Need it sorted right now?

You don't have to wait for the schedule β€” click Sort Now on any collection to re-sort it immediately.

What does the number on the dashboard mean?

The "collections in use" count on your dashboard is the number of collections that currently have auto-sort enabled β€” not the number of times sorting has run. It's shown against your plan's limit so you can see how many auto-sorting collections you have. Turning auto-sort off on a collection lowers that count and frees it up for another collection.

Applying a schedule to many collections

To set the same frequency across lots of collections at once, use Mass update collections / bulk sort collections.
