The Auto Hide and Unhide feature is a great tool to automatically hide products that are already out of stock. With this feature, you provide a great buying experience for your customers, ensuring that all the products they add to their cart are always in stock. You can review all the tasks you've executed in the Hide and Unhide log.
Important note: Please subscribe All or Hide Sold Out package to enable the Autohide/Unhide feature.
How to Auto Hide Products
To use the Auto Hide feature, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Auto Hide & Unhide and select Settings:
2. Click Hide products with inventory quantity on the Auto Hide section.
3. From the drop-down in the "Hide products with inventory quantity", select an option from the list.
You have 6 options here:
In total - This option will hide products when the TOTAL NUMBER of your inventory is equal to or less than the amount you've set.
In all variants - This option will hide products when ALL VARIANTS of your inventory are equal to or less than the amount you've set.
In any variant - This option will hide products when ANY VARIANTS of your inventory are equal to or less than the amount you've set.
In specific variants - Choose this option if you want to hide products with several particular variants.
Variant stock ratio - To hide products based on a stock ratio. (Number of available variants/number of variants).
Available variant number - To hide products when the number of variants in stock is equal to or less than the number you’ve set.
Explanation for each variant option:
Let's take an example involving Product A and its corresponding variants (A, B, and C). In this scenario, Variant A has 10, B has 5, and C has 6 in stock and the condition being considered is "<= 6".
When applying the three different approaches to determine the out-of-stock status:
In total: When summing up the stock counts across all variants (10 + 5 + 6 = 21), the total exceeds the threshold of 6. Consequently, Product A is not classified as out of stock.
In all variants: Only Variant B meets the condition (Variant A = 10, Variant B = 5, Variant C = 6). As a result, Product A is not considered out of stock using this method.
In any variant: Variants B and C both adhere to the condition with stock counts of 5 and 6, respectively. This leads to Product A being considered out of stock according to the "In Any Variant" approach.
In specific variants, you can type the text in your SKUs.
In this example, once a product is less than or equal to "1", it automatically hides products that have SKUs with add, nke, and pum.
Variant stock ratio: If it is set to 40%, If the product has 5 variants (sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL), the product will be hidden when only 2 or fewer variants are in stock.
In this case, 2 ÷ 5 = 0.40 (40%), the product will be hidden.Available variant number: If it is set to 2, the product will be hidden when it has 2 or fewer variants currently in stock.
4. Once you select the variant option you want to use, you can choose when it is hidden. You can either set it to Right away or if it is already Sold out for a determined period of days.
5. You can change the status of the product from "Active" to either "Draft" or "Archived". Please make sure you select the "Draft" or "Archived" status in Settings > Preferences
6. If there are products that you want to exclude with tags, add the product's tag in the textbox. You can add up to 3 product tags here.
7. You can make a product unavailable for view or purchase on sales channels by hiding them from one or more sales channels
8. Select the location from the list to exclude a location.
Note: If all locations are selected, the first in the list will be unselected.
9. You can redirect hidden products to the home page or to a specific URL, effectively managing your SEO.
You can enable the "Email if any product gets hidden" option to receive email notifications when a product is hidden.
How to Auto Unhide Products
To use the Auto Hide feature, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Auto Hide & Unhide.
2. Click Unhide products with inventory quantity on the Auto Unhide section.
3. From this drop-down, select an option from the list.
You have 4 options here:
In total - This option will unhide products when your inventory's total number equals or exceeds the amount you've set.
In all variants - This option will unhide products when ALL VARIANTS of your inventory are equal or greater than the amount you've set.
In any variant, this option will unhide products when ANY VARIANTS of your inventory equals or exceeds the amount you've set.
In specific variant - Choose this option if you have several particular variants that you want to unhide.
Variant stock ratio - To hide products based on a stock ratio. (Number of available variants/number of variants).
Available variant number - To hide products when the number of variants in stock is equal to or less than the number you’ve set.
4. Please check steps 4 to 9 under the section to understand the other available options. Click Save Settings to apply your settings.
